Question types

Older items can still show Multiple choice (single). That label matches Multiple choice (single), and the editor is the same. New type lists do not offer this alias.

Write each choice under Answer choices. Select Mark as correct on the right choice. The selected choice reads Correct answer. The number of choices is fixed for writers. Use Drag to reorder to change their order.

The item tells you how many correct answers to mark. Select the checkbox on each correct choice, and write the choice text beside it. Use Drag to reorder to change their order.

The choices are True and False. Under Correct answer, select the correct one.

Enter Model answer. The field shows a character count. An answer over the limit cannot be submitted.

Under Matching pairs, write Prompts and Options. Select Add decoy to add an extra option. Match each prompt under Correct matches.

Enter Scoring guide. Sample response (optional) is optional.

Enter Numeric answer and Tolerance (±). Units (optional) and Alternate accepted forms (optional) are optional. Put one alternate form on each line.
